Everyone wins at Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

As a part of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, ReStore is a nonprofit thrift store that accepts donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, and building supplies from the public. When possible, donated building materials will be used to build and preserve Habitat homes, and extra building materials, along with furniture, appliances, and other items are sold to the public at more than 50% off retail prices. Each donation and purchase makes a big difference toward the mission of Habitat for Humanity: to build homes, communities, and hope. But the impact goes far beyond that…

Habitat for Humanity

We love being green.

Besides helping Habitat for Humanity build and renovate homes through merchandise sales, Habitat for Humanity ReStore also helps keep the planet going strong through our extensive recycling efforts.

Paper

The ReStore collects clean paper such as newspapers, magazines, cardboard and more in a collection bin donated by River Valley Paper Company.

Metal

Non-working large and small appliances and power and hand tools all contain valuable metals that translate into dollars for the Habitat ministry. Volunteers disassemble the items and sort all the parts to be recycled. ReStore also recycles aluminum and steel doors, metal patio furniture, desks, book shelves, file cabinets, and other miscellaneous metal items.

Cars

ReStore will gladly recycle old vehicles and turn that scrap into money the Habitat ministry can use to help local families in need achieve their dreams of homeownership.
